Build Card

  • Passive: +1% Luck per level; snowballs loot/quality
  • Unlock: Starter (available from the beginning)
  • Default Weapon: Firestaff
  • Role: Ranged / Economy snowball
  • Recommended Weapons: Firestaff (safe ranged clear), Bananarang (piercing multi-hit clear), Aura (proximity safety/DoT)
  • Tomes (order): LuckQuantityCooldownDamage/Area
  • Beginner Preset: Firestaff + Aura; Luck → Quantity → Cooldown → Damage/Area
  • High-Curse Preset: Quantity → Cooldown → Luck → Shield/Armor; add Aegis for safety

Core Mechanics & Gameplan

Scale Luck early to accelerate upgrades and chest quality. Stabilize wave-clear with projectiles; greed only after you can kite safely.

Weapons & Upgrade Path

  • Firestaff — default ranged kiting that scales with Quantity/Cooldown
  • Bananarang — multi-hit pierce works with projectile count
  • Aura — adds close-range safety so you can invest in Luck earlier

Tome Priority & Why

  • Luck — powers economy: better drops and rolls
  • Quantity — multiplicative hits for all projectiles
  • Cooldown — more casts, smoother control
  • Damage/Area — scaling once core uptime is set

Step-by-step Route

Phase 1 (0–4 min) — Stabilize clear/survivability; grab your core Tome #1 and at least one crowd tool.
Phase 2 (4–8 min) — Finish main weapon upgrades; lock in Tomes #2–#3; start boss DPS plan.
Phase 3 (8+ min / Boss) — Cover weaknesses (shield/armor/evasion), add burst or DoT as needed; align cooldown windows for boss.

Mistakes to Avoid

  • Greeding damage before wave-clear/safety is online.
  • Ignoring shrine tempo and pot routes.
  • Overcapping one stat (e.g., Crit or Move Speed) at the expense of Quantity/Cooldown.

Presets (Details)

Beginner — Keep distance, take Aura second, prioritize survivability; once stable, add Bananarang.

High-Curse — Front-load Quantity/Cooldown, then Luck; slot a shield/armor tome and one hard DPS finisher.

Notes

Avoid face-tanking; Fox lacks innate tank stats.
